I’m a seamstress and I happened to design a dress that I am absolutely in love with. It has to be white, though, and it won’t have the same effect without a train. It does have some colored accents on it. I really want to make it and wear it.. but I can’t imagine where I’d wear it to. I’d hate to make something so beautiful to go to waste.. I’ve been married for almost 3 years so it’s too late to be a wedding dress and way too soon for a vow renewal. I don’t have any friends getting married any time soon either..
Any ideas?

I’m 23 and married so I’m already past prom, sweet sixteens, and my wedding. No, I don’t think everyone has a vow renewal, but they are more common than you think. I can very easily live without this dress, I was just looking for a reason to make and wear it myself. 
I’ll just add it to my book of possibles for local Brides.
BTW, if you really like it, I’m located in Orlando Florida. I can alter it however you like.
Problem solved. I changed the neckline. I think it looks better now because the top has the same flowlines as the bottom. Plus I don’t think I’d look good in that kind of neckline, so I’m not as horribly tempted to make it for myself.

White is VERY hard to pull off. Maybe a very formal party…other tha that, I have no suggestions.
OMG. I can tell by your phrasing that you think “vow renewal” is a normal and expected thing.
Vows don’t expire, dingbat.
