Maria has worn several tennis dresses during the past six months that have not been reproduced for the mass market, does anyone know why Nike decided to make dresses exclusively for Maria? Most of their tennis clothing for women seems to be designed for Serena and it is very disappointing for those of us who love Maria’s tennis clothing because it suits a younger age group.

Nike is a business first and foremost and in business the object is to make money. They push their most popular products because that’s where the money is. Nike does extensive market research to know what’s popular and what sells. That’s one of the reasons they’ve been on top for so long. Although Sharapova’s designs might suit your personal tatste, the same may not be true for others.
